About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain data acquisition, ingestion, and staging processes for large-scale regulatory reporting and analytics programs
  • Develop and support an immutable historical data repository for recreating prior reporting periods and regulatory submissions
  • Design and enhance canonical data models, reference data structures, and business classification frameworks
  • Build and maintain exception management repositories for issue tracking, remediation, and regulatory reporting transparency
  • Implement data quality controls, validation routines, reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation
  • Perform complex data analysis, root cause investigations, and issue remediation across multiple source systems
  • Design and maintain data lineage documentation and control evidence for audit and regulatory reviews
  • Collaborate with business, risk, compliance, audit, and technology stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, implementation activities, and production support
  • Partner with reporting and visualization teams to develop datasets supporting Power BI and management reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or a related discipline
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations, reconciliations, optimization, and performance tuning
  • Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT solutions across multiple source systems
  • Experience with dimensional data modeling, canonical data models, and historical snapshot architectures
  • Experience working within Financial Services, Banking, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, or Audit environments
  • Strong understanding of data quality controls, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data issues and develop sustainable technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting BCBS 239, enterprise risk programs, risk data aggregation, or regulatory reporting initiatives
  • Experience building historical, immutable, or append-only data repositories
  • Familiarity with data lineage, metadata management, and governance platforms such as Collibra
  • Experience supporting Power BI reporting and analytics solutions
  • Experience with cloud and modern data platforms including Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, Fabric, Informatica, Talend, Alteryx, or Teradata
