About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, financial statement footnotes, quarterly accounting workpaper packages, and investor reporting packages
  • Prepare/facilitate day-to-day operating activities for private equity and real estate fund administration clients, including cash management, wire setup, management fees, carried interest/waterfall calculations, subsequent closes, credit facility maintenance, deal funding, and expense payments
  • Become an expert user of the firm’s fund administration technology platform
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and setting up investors, investments, reports, and the LP reporting portal
  • Prepare/facilitate capital calls and distribution calculations and execute these processes in the technology platform
  • Maintain and update investor data
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries from clients and limited partners
  • Coordinate with clients’ external auditors and tax providers to support year-end audits and tax return information needs
  • Help train new/junior-level staff members once established

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of relevant fund accounting or fund administration experience, preferably supporting private equity, real estate, or other alternative investment funds
  • Ability to interpret/apply the financial and operational terms of Limited Partnership Agreements for private equity funds
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, CA, or progress toward a relevant professional certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with Allvue or a comparable fund administration platform preferred
  • Experience with fund accounting software such as Allvue, Investran, eFront, Yardi, or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized
  • Strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and a positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
  • For recent U.S. college/university graduates: 1–2 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a same or similar role, excluding internships, may be required for experienced associate eligibility
  • Entry-level candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible
