About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a senior tax client service leader, relationship owner, or capability leader for complex client needs and firm priorities
  • Advise single-family, multi-family, and virtual-family office clients and multi-generational families on structuring, modeling, succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance
  • Lead teams delivering integrated tax services across capabilities, industries, geographies, and specialists
  • Manage and oversee engagement teams focused on entity, individual, fiduciary, and gift/estate taxation
  • Plan and execute client tax engagements
  • Manage multiple engagements or client portfolios, monitoring status, resources, economics, quality, and client service expectations
  • Identify technical tax matters and client opportunities and guide teams through complex issues
  • Maintain client relationships, anticipate needs, and connect clients with firm expertise
  • Support growth through pipeline development, client transfers, collaboration, referral networks, and market-facing activity
  • Manage profitability, billing, collections, engagement economics, and operational discipline
  • Apply quality, risk, independence, ethics, and professional judgment
  • Use digital tools, standardized processes, and global workforce capabilities to improve efficiency and client experience
  • Coach and develop high-performing teams and future leaders
  • Lead with an enterprise mindset focused on long-term firm value, cultural stewardship, and client outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university
  • Active CPA license or equivalent professional credential in the state of residence or primary office
  • Minimum of 12 years of Tax experience in public accounting
  • Ability to effectively identify, sell and deliver tax services to middle-market clients
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within applicable deadlines
  • Clear, professional, and effective communication with firm personnel and clients
  • Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and at client sites as required
  • Consistent onsite presence during core business hours, regular reporting to a firm office, and travel to client sites as required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work extended and/or non-standard hours during peak periods or as necessary
