About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Initiate and lead conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust
  • Navigate cross-border and diverse teams and engagements
  • Apply design-thinking principles and represent RSM as a Workday Design Partner
  • Influence and test Workday design and functionality as an early adopter
  • Provide technical and functional expertise in Workday, especially Workday Compensation and related HCM processes
  • Oversee Compensation configuration, functionality, and technology solutions supporting compensation programs and processes
  • Nurture relationships with HR and Compensation partners and manage expectations and delivery constraints
  • Prioritize large-scale COE-Workday projects across Centers of Excellence
  • Oversee and prioritize Workday Compensation initiatives, annual compensation activities, enhancements, defects, reporting needs, and security/access requests
  • Optimize Workday configuration and operations for assigned modules
  • Analyze compensation plans, eligibility, compensation review processes, and related business processes
  • Document functional requirements and create project plans
  • Manage testing plans, organizational change, and socialization initiatives
  • Oversee testing and production readiness, including upstream and downstream impacts
  • Lead analysts by providing functional direction, prioritization, coaching, and review of Workday Compensation solutions
  • Monitor Workday releases and identify features that improve Compensation processes and employee and manager experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in Workday and PeopleSoft, including hands-on experience supporting Workday Compensation
  • Ability to translate functional requirements to technical language and vice versa
  • Experience facilitating discussions between technical and functional groups
  • Extensive experience in HR subject areas, with demonstrated Workday Compensation experience
  • Knowledge of compensation plans, eligibility, merit and bonus processes, and compensation review
  • Proven Workday system configuration experience at least at a Functional Admin level
  • Ability to review and oversee Workday Compensation configuration
  • Experience solving configuration and integration issues through root-cause analysis
  • Deep understanding of cross-stream and downstream impacts
  • Experience with independent testing
  • Experience leading or overseeing Workday initiatives, prioritizing work, reviewing solutions and configuration, coordinating testing, and guiding analysts through implementation and production support
  • Preferred: Experience supporting Workday Compensation through annual compensation cycles, system enhancements, Workday releases, testing, and production support
  • Preferred: Ability to think globally about process impact while managing relevant detail
  • Preferred: Decision-making in complex situations
  • Preferred: Negotiation skills
