About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare schedules for Financial Reporting and Tax
Ensure compliance with key internal control procedures
Review, prepare, and post manual journal entry requests
Assist with audit requests
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analysis and reports
Analyze Balance Sheet accounts and reconciliations
Participate in special projects and analysis
Develop understanding of Raytheon accounting structures and systems
Provide general accounting support including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis
Support flux analysis, audit deliverables, and other accounting and financial-related activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Working experience with SAP and/or similar financial systems
Working experience with MS Office tools including Excel
U.S. Citizenship is required
Understanding of RTX financial and accounting policies and procedures
Experience interfacing and conducting business with various disciplines
Ability to take initiative and ownership of assignments and desire to improve processes
Self-guided, self-motivated, highly organized, and a team player
Ability to explain balances, purpose of accounts, and identify inconsistencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize effectively
Experience in DoD or Aerospace industry
Effective, pleasant, and business-like interpersonal skills
