About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform aerothermal services ensuring on-time delivery and technical quality
- Perform low to medium complexity steady-state and transient performance comparison packages
- Compare data versus simulation, model to model, control to control, and engine to engine
- Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences, and trainings
- Collaborate with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English as required
- Contribute to aerodynamic and thermal design, analysis, and performance evaluation of engine modules and systems
- Work with areas including aerodynamic analysis, turbomachinery performance, combustion modeling, secondary flow and heat transfer, performance integration, acoustics, and aeromechanics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Must be actively enrolled through completion of the internship/co-op session
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program/contract
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
- Relocation is not offered
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative
- Passion for learning about and pursuing a career in aviation and aerospace
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
