About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform aerothermal services ensuring on-time delivery and technical quality
- Perform low to medium complexity steady-state and transient performance comparison packages
- Compare data versus simulation, model to model, control to control, and engine to engine
- Use commercial and in-house tools for analysis, including CFD, for engine component design or evaluation
- Learn manufacturing processes used to produce engine components
- Apply quality compliance principles from an aerodynamics perspective
- Use the Knowledge Management System in product development
- Prepare and present technical presentations
- Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences, and required trainings
- Collaborate with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
- Relocation is not offered
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
- Ability to take time off from coursework to fully engage in the January-June Co-Op session
- No security clearance required
