About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research operating environments and component functionality, mating-part interactions, and other design factors
  • Collaborate with Repair Development Engineers on prototyping new repairs and Source Demonstration
  • Engage with audits as needed
  • Develop strategies to return damaged parts to service
  • Create technical documents defining engineering requirements for repairs
  • Provide routine status reports to customers and management
  • Support investigations of engine field incidents, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Support development of serviceable and repairable limits for engine-part wear
  • Participate in cross-discipline integrated product teams and provide design solutions balancing performance, cost, schedule, and quality
  • Attend group meetings, teleconferences, and required training
  • Support other duties/functions based on business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Engineering, or a related field
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • English proficiency required for reading, writing, and speaking when communicating with English-only customers, co-workers, or supervisors
  • Relocation is not offered
  • Ability to access systems/tools restricted to U.S. citizens
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaboration, innovation, and initiative
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Passion for aviation and aerospace
