About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, analyze, simulate, and document analog circuitry, power conversion modules, and power subsystem architectures
  • Develop precision control systems, including servo control loops, motor drives, digital feedback systems, and command generation models
  • Architect and design flight termination and telemetry systems, including analog/digital conversion, data acquisition modules, encoders, and RF transmitters
  • Model power system dynamics, electromagnetic interference, harmonic controls, and circuit stress
  • Support hardware integration, laboratory characterization, troubleshooting, and production testing for electrical power components
  • Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and reliability engineers
  • Prepare schematics, design review data packages, test procedures, and trade study reports
  • Advance electrical subsystem solutions from design through laboratory integration and production support
  • Occasional travel to local engineering and integration facilities in Marlborough and Tewksbury, Massachusetts may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline, obtained by start date
  • Experience or coursework in Analog Electronics, Power Electronics, Power Systems, or Control Systems
  • Experience developing electrical circuit or engineering system simulations/models using PSPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent computational software
  • Experience communicating technical concepts through engineering documentation or technical presentations
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • DoD Secret clearance
  • Preferred: hands-on laboratory experience with hardware development, power conversion prototyping, or electronic troubleshooting
  • Preferred: familiarity with power conversion architectures, including linear and switching supplies, resonant circuits, PFC, and ZVS
  • Preferred: knowledge of test and production methods for electronic components, magnetics, filters, or power systems
  • Preferred: experience with data conversion and transmission methodologies such as ADCs/DACs, RS422, and LVDS
  • Preferred: practical experience or coursework in motor control algorithms, inertial stabilization, or servo feedback mechanisms
