About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop 3–5 year logistics network strategy focused on right-sizing the distribution footprint for manufacturing and aftermarket networks
  • Perform cost-to-serve and scenario modeling, including data collection, analysis and proposal development
  • Conduct market, customer and demand trend analysis
  • Lead footprint studies involving new distribution centers, closures and consolidations
  • Create executive presentations and business cases
  • Govern design standards and decision frameworks
  • Establish network KPIs and value-tracking processes with the strategic sourcing team
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Real Estate and business stakeholders on savings, optimization and transformation initiatives
  • Develop capital investment proposals and ROI analysis
  • Lead implementation of network changes
  • Influence and drive change across multiple businesses, functions and geographies
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics and sourcing professionals across multiple business units
  • Foster collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Serve as liaison between logistics, supply chain, finance and executive leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics network optimization and strategy and supply chain consulting, or related roles within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
  • Experience managing cross-functional and cross-business unit teams
  • Operational experience in multi-site warehouse and distribution management
  • Expertise in network optimization tools (LLamasoft, AIMMS, Coupa, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills including developing business cases
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in strategy or supply chain consulting is a plus
  • Project management, change management and transition management abilities
