About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, engineer and optimize distribution center sites to support demand, throughput, storage and service requirements
  • Design and execute warehouse automation initiatives with business owners and third-party providers
  • Create standards for automation solutions supporting storage, throughput and layout governance
  • Perform facility capacity modeling and flow simulations
  • Design slotting, pick-path, racking and storage solutions with third-party warehouse operators and insourced sites
  • Evaluate emerging logistics technologies and automation options, including AS/RS, AMRs, conveyors and goods-to-person systems
  • Develop and implement technology and automation plans for distribution sites
  • Collaborate with systems and data teams to integrate best practices into WMS and S4 designs during the logistics operating system transformation
  • Support network design models and develop distribution center expansion, relocation and consolidation plans
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Real Estate and business operations teams
  • Develop capital investment proposals and ROI analyses
  • Influence and drive change across multiple businesses, functions and geographies
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics and sourcing professionals across multiple business units
  • Foster collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Liaise between logistics, supply chain, finance and executive leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience in warehousing planning and operation, automation selection and implementation, logistics integrator or related roles within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
  • Experience managing cross-functional and cross-business unit teams
  • Change management experience
  • Operational experience in multi-site warehouse and distribution management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Expertise in facility layout, industrial engineering, and warehousing
  • Hands-on knowledge of WMS, MHE, and automation solutions
  • Industrial Engineering and Scenario Planning in supply chain environments
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills including developing business cases
  • Project management, change management and transition management abilities
  • Security clearance not required
