About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day design and engineering activities for assigned programs
- Create and modify 3D models in Siemens NX (UG) for sheet metal, machined, plastic, and assembly components
- Apply best design practices for machined parts, sheet metal parts, and thermoplastic components
- Contribute to electrical routing design and/or LRU packaging
- Use the NX Electrical Routing module to support harness routing and electrical integration
- Develop and maintain Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM)
- Prepare and support ECN/ECR documentation
- Use Teamcenter (TcE), JIRA, and other enterprise systems for data management, task tracking, and collaboration
- Support end-to-end program execution in a virtual, cross-functional engineering environment
- Ensure compliance with engineering, manufacturing, OEM, and quality requirements
- Participate in hardware selection and basic hardware management activities
- Support aerospace mechanical-electrical integration and product lifecycle activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering
- 1–3 years of experience in CAD engineering and mechanical design
- Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX (UG), including 3D modeling, Assembly modeling, Machined and Sheet metal module
- Experience designing sheet metal, plastic, and machined components
- Understanding of machining, sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming, and injection molding
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter (TcE) or similar PLM systems
- Familiarity with engineering standards, drafting standards, and design best practices
- Strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, virtual, and cross-functional team environment
- All India positions require a background check, which may include a drug screen
