About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive adoption of emerging technologies such as GenAI, VDI, automation, and digital engineering tools
  • Assess and pilot new technical solutions that strengthen productivity, throughput, and compliance
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement efforts to enhance operational workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and increase consistency and efficiency
  • Establish standardized engineering practices and create scalable, repeatable solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support organizational, technical, and compliance needs
  • Manage readiness, resourcing, risks, and dependencies across multiple stakeholders
  • Execute pilot projects, define success criteria, assess results, and scale proven solutions
  • Provide communication, reporting, and KPI tracking for leadership and teams
  • Ensure adherence to policy, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Represent CGO Engineering Initiatives in reviews, working groups, and enterprise forums
  • Travel up to 35% to engage stakeholders, support initiatives, and ensure alignment across sites
  • Directly support the CGO Engineering Initiatives Leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
  • Ten (10) or more years of proven experience in engineering leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional project execution
  • Experience piloting, evaluating, and scaling technical and operational initiatives
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as GenAI and VDI, and their application to engineering workflows
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with experience developing innovative technical solutions
  • Communication skills with experience preparing leadership-level updates and technical briefings
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, digital technology, security, quality, operations, and supply chain in a matrixed environment
  • Experience driving adoption of standardized processes in large organizations
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Program Management experience and/or certification preferred
  • Both defense and commercial industry experience preferred
  • Experience with quality improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma) or CORE Operating Framework preferred
  • Experience with security processes and regulatory requirements preferred
  • Experience with process optimization, operational methodologies, and policy and standards documentation preferred
  • Experience scaling initiatives and leading collaboration across complex organizations preferred
