About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide cloud operations services and support primarily for Microsoft Azure and potentially Amazon AWS environments
Provide system administration services for Linux and Windows Server virtual machines
Resolve incidents and fulfill service requests
Investigate and permanently resolve problems
Contribute to proactive problem management
Design, document, test, and implement changes
Contribute to compliance and vulnerability management through patching, endpoint protection, and maintenance of key software installed on virtual machines
Contribute to enhancement of monitoring and automation
Work within an Agile product team embedded in the XetaCloud Operations team
Develop operations best practices, cloud maturity plans, and documentation to comply with IT policy and compliance requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems
Experience working in a multi-cloud environment including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, including associated networking, architecture, and infrastructure
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience with Datadog, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, ServiceNow, Statseeker, Netscout, and/or other monitoring tools
Experience managing production infrastructure and applications utilizing ITIL v3 (2011) or v4 best practices
Technical communication skills, including ability to author professional user-facing documentation for various user audiences
Microsoft Azure/AWS certifications preferred
Experience with SQL Server, Log Analytics, and Qlik preferred
Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Ability to work second shift
