About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage the end-to-end release process for Azure landing zone deployments
  • Learn and master the current release process and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Ansible playbooks for automated deployments
  • Work with Terraform configurations to manage Azure infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Python code used in the deployment process
  • Implement and maintain testing procedures for new changes and deployments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate release processes
  • Create and maintain documentation for release procedures and actions taken
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in a regulated government contracting environment
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support production deployments and troubleshoot issues
  • Establish the onboarding process so application teams can engage with and navigate it
  • Become an expert in the RTX public cloud implementation and onboarded services
  • Support infrastructure automation engagements by ensuring required information is gathered
  • Ensure service request forms collect information needed for automated solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR, in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems
  • Experience with Ansible, including the ability to write and troubleshoot complex YAML playbooks
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Experience in Python programming with the ability to read, troubleshoot, and improve existing code
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and architectures, particularly with landing zones
  • Exposure to SAP systems and migration projects
  • Ability to work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. Territories
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for project management and CI/CD preferred
  • Familiarity with AWS and GCP preferred
  • Experience with Git preferred
  • Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or relevant AWS/GCP certifications preferred
  • Ability to attend select interview steps in person if requested
