About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage global airline nacelle support needs
- Respond to customer inquiries, document procedures, collect data, and provide customer information
- Maintain 24/7 global support and account management responsibilities
- Support Airlines, Airline MRO facilities, and Brokers with aftermarket spares orders
- Provide customer support for the global Spares and Technical Service customer portal
- Communicate with customers by telephone or electronically, manage accounts, and address concerns
- Liaise with Engineering and UTAS MROs to meet customer needs
- Manage and negotiate fluctuating credit situations and timely invoice payments
- Provide periodic reports to management and lead real-time problem resolution activities
- Process customer orders and quotes according to Standard Work procedures and redirect queries when needed
- Provide references to customers in publication materials and secondary sources
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
- Maintain customer interaction and transaction records in the ERP system
- Coordinate with provisioning, shipping, and inventory warehouses to expedite or trace shipments
- Communicate engineering changes to customer Purchasing departments and Engineers
- Promote products and services to meet business targets
- Provide after-sales support for client contracts
- Support sales teams with customer concerns and visits
- Coordinate with sales representatives to identify inside sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of UTC organization and products
- Identify customer service patterns and maintain quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- University Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems
- Manufacturing processes experience preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings preferred
- Experience with account management, business processes, distribution, high-profile customer support, or leading teams preferred
- Microsoft Office applications experience, including MS Dynamics, Access, and PowerPoint preferred
- Experience leading Kaizen/Continuous Improvement activities preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent business system application preferred
- Effective communication skills in multiple languages preferred
