About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as Product Owner for an Agile team preparing operational and sustainment data for digital and AI use cases
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and value delivery; manage and prioritize the backlog
  • Lead Data-as-a-Product frameworks covering ownership models, data quality, metadata standards, and lifecycle management
  • Identify business processes and data sets critical to AI readiness, including profiling, gap assessment, cleansing, and transformation
  • Gather requirements and translate stakeholder needs into data requirements
  • Translate business needs into prioritized user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint objectives
  • Champion data quality, lineage, governance, and accessibility across sustainment operations
  • Drive adoption of enterprise data platforms and standards
  • Collaborate with AI and digital engineering teams supporting machine learning, predictive analytics, automation, and workflow modernization
  • Coordinate with data architects, engineers, scientists, analysts, and product owners to ensure data is fit for purpose
  • Solve ambiguous, multidisciplinary data challenges with innovative, scalable solutions
  • Communicate program status, risks, and strategic impacts to senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Refine data readiness processes, backlog grooming, and adaptation to changing business or data landscapes
  • Coach and mentor team members and foster a collaborative, data-driven culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of engineering, digital technology, analytics, or data management experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7 years of such experience
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Product Owner, Agile Lead, Scrum Master, or equivalent leadership role
  • 2 years of strong knowledge of Data as a Product, data governance, data lifecycle management, and data quality principles
  • 2 years of working knowledge of AI, machine learning concepts, and digital technologies
  • 2 years of proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and deliver results in evolving and ambiguous environments
  • 2 years ability to influence at multiple levels and communicate effectively with senior leaders
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to access systems/tools restricted to U.S. citizens
