About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the in-country leadership team to shape and embed the enterprise-wide people strategy
  • Enable business growth and deliver the broader People Strategy agenda
  • Report directly to the Vice President of HR, Strategy & International, with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon UK
  • Serve as a key member of the Raytheon UK senior leadership team
  • Set direction, drive leadership excellence, and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture
  • Work across the full employee lifecycle, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Organisational Design, and Organisational Effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with Centres of Expertise
  • Strengthen shared culture and reinforce inclusive behaviours
  • Provide strategic guidance and trusted counsel to senior executives
  • Support security, compliance, workforce planning, and critical skills development for the UK defence landscape
  • Shape workforce capability and organisational culture in a mission-driven environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Highly experienced people leader with deep expertise across all areas of people consulting
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to understand strategic priorities, operational challenges, and external factors shaping the defence landscape
  • Strong capability in interpreting and analysing data
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-level talent strategies, including high-potential development, succession planning, assessment approaches, career pathways, and strategic talent mobility
  • Expertise in leading organisational change using structured methodologies, consulting frameworks, and tools
  • Robust project and programme management skills
  • Exceptional coaching, advisory, and influencing skills
  • Confidence and sound judgement when constructively challenging senior stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving capability and ability to build business cases and recommendations
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice within regulated environments
  • Comfortable operating within a global matrix structure and collaborating with U.S.-based functional leadership
  • Experience in defence, aerospace, government, or similarly regulated sectors ideally
