About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, development, customization, and deployment of Documentum-based applications, including D2, xCP, Webtop, and custom Documentum services
  • Develop and maintain Documentum objects, including workflows, lifecycles, job definitions, TBOs/SBOs, and custom components
  • Integrate Documentum with enterprise platforms, APIs, and external systems
  • Optimize the performance, scalability, and security of Documentum repositories
  • Support upgrade planning, environment migrations, and modernization of legacy Documentum applications
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in Documentum servers, repositories, and application layers
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Ensure compliance, retention, and regulatory requirements across document-centric processes
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Contribute to ECM governance, design standards, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText Documentum development
  • Experience with D2, xCP, Webtop, Composer, and Administrator
  • Strong proficiency in Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC), Documentum REST, Java, and related integration frameworks
  • Experience designing and implementing workflows, lifecycles, metadata models, and document security policies
  • Understanding of enterprise content management principles, information architecture, and document governance
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and deliver clear, actionable solutions
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Preferred: experience with cloud-hosted Documentum environments or modernization initiatives
  • Preferred: familiarity with OpenText Extended ECM, Captiva/Intelligent Capture, or other OpenText products
  • Preferred: knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and automated deployments
  • Preferred: strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams
