About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead day-to-day execution of distributed work projects, including migration planning, readiness, and performance tracking
  • Use data-driven insights on capability, capacity, and performance to support work migration decisions
  • Develop integrated schedules, manage cross-functional dependencies, and define work packages
  • Partner across CGO, Programs, Functions, and Corporate to align requirements, infrastructure, timelines, and risks
  • Identify and track risks, constraints, and resource gaps impacting distributed work execution
  • Establish readiness criteria, mitigation plans, contingency strategies, and change impact assessments
  • Support development and adoption of the CGO’s distributed work playbook, governance, and standardized processes
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, DT/ECC, GSS/Cyber, and workforce intelligence to address technical, security, infrastructure, and staffing needs
  • Provide communication, status reporting, KPI tracking, and leadership updates
  • Use planning tools, earned value tactics, and analytics to support capacity assessments, operational readiness, and data-based migration decisions
  • Capture lessons learned to refine distributed work processes and drive scalable improvements aligned with the CGO’s capacity strategy
  • Travel up to 35% to engage stakeholders, support initiatives, and ensure alignment across sites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM discipline
  • Minimum ten (10) years of previous experience with technical and functional leadership in operations, supply chain, systems, hardware, or multidisciplinary engineering organizations
  • Certification in program/project management, Lean/Six Sigma, planning/scheduling, or ERP systems
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with competing priorities in a matrixed environment across engineering, operations, supply chain, DT, cyber/security, real estate, and workforce planning
  • Experience identifying risks, building mitigations, driving readiness, and executing structured change management approaches
  • Experience preparing leadership-level briefings, KPIs, and status reports using analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting system data to support decisions
  • Experience leading or supporting operational improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, or business transformations
  • Ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and manage stakeholders across programs and functions
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • Active and existing DoD Secret clearance required on day 1
  • Up to 35% travel
  • Preferred: advanced degree in Business; MBA preferred (in process acceptable)
  • Preferred: experience in commercial and defense sectors
  • Preferred: experience managing budgets, schedules, materials, and capacity for large programs/projects
  • Preferred: leadership in production control, infrastructure, or supply chain execution focused on risk mitigation and system optimization
  • Preferred: background in logistics, operations, or regulatory compliance supporting distributed operational teams
