About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate Power and Controls, Engine Control Systems engineering efforts supporting Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engine Programs
  • Support technical execution of engineering activities across the commercial engines business
  • Represent Engineering in the Large Commercial Engines product lines
  • Manage overall program milestones and deliverables by tracking IPT commitments
  • Coordinate program technical communications internally and externally
  • Coordinate technical scope changes with Product Line Leaders
  • Communicate with Product Lines, Management, and the customer verbally and in writing
  • Drive reliability through fleet monitoring and field investigations
  • Lead root cause and corrective action activities
  • Maintain fleet reliability metrics
  • Coordinate with Collins engineering functions and Pratt & Whitney

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Experience in Project Engineering or Program Management and leading cross-functional teams within a matrix organization
  • Experience with Controls Systems on commercial turbo-fan engines
  • Experience in design, development, and certification of control system hardware
  • Experience or background in systems engineering
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
