About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct studies and apply Lean principles to optimize cost control, inventory management, and process efficiency
  • Design, develop, and improve workflows, station loading, line balancing, and production layouts
  • Create and update routings, labor standards, manufacturing standard work, and the ERP system
  • Develop tools, fixtures, systems, and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality and reliability
  • Optimize production floor layouts for equipment utilization, process flow, and operator efficiency
  • Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM field
  • Must remain actively enrolled through completion of the internship
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience preferred
  • Must be a U.S. Person
  • Security clearance not required
