About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead integration and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) requirements and capabilities across the APS portfolio
  • Establish NPI requirements in the program technical baseline and execute them across technology development, pursuit-to-startup, product development, production, and sustainment phases
  • Optimize aerospace and defense systems for manufacturing
  • Implement design for excellence capabilities, including DTUPC, DFMA, DFMT, and DFS
  • Apply systems and requirements to transition and manufacture products through the supply base and internal factories
  • Champion organizational and cultural change in a complex matrixed environment
  • Lead cross-functional partnerships across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality on New Product Introductions
  • Support assessment and updates to Raytheon policies and processes
  • Report directly to the APS Chief Engineer
  • Travel up to 25% to support SBU and Raytheon activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience supporting production programs as a product engineering IPT Lead, Production Chief Engineer, and/or Factory Operations Manager
  • Experience developing product manufacturing workflows and value streams
  • Program engineering team or functional leadership experience
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain special program access after start
  • U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
  • 5 or more years supporting product development and transitions to manufacturing preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in design to average unit production cost (AUPC) preferred
  • Significant understanding of factory/manufacturing modeling and simulations preferred
  • Expert in Agile methods for production preferred
  • Top Secret Clearance preferred
