About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive adoption of emerging technologies such as GenAI, VDI, automation, and digital engineering tools
- Assess and pilot new technical solutions that strengthen productivity, throughput, and compliance
- Lead cross-functional process improvement efforts to enhance operational workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and increase consistency and efficiency
- Establish standardized engineering practices and create scalable, repeatable solutions
- Collaborate with engineering, digital technology, operations, security, facilities, and program teams
- Manage readiness, resourcing, risks, and dependencies across multiple stakeholders
- Execute pilot projects, define success criteria, assess results, and scale proven solutions
- Provide communication, reporting, and KPI tracking for leadership and teams
- Ensure adherence to policy, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Represent CGO Engineering Initiatives in reviews, working groups, and enterprise forums
- Travel to engage stakeholders, support initiatives, and ensure alignment across sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
- Ten (10) or more years of proven experience in engineering leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional project execution
- Experience piloting, evaluating, and scaling technical and operational initiatives
- Experience with emerging technologies such as GenAI and VDI, and their application to engineering workflows
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with experience developing innovative technical solutions
- Communication skills with experience preparing leadership-level updates and technical briefings
- Experience collaborating across engineering, digital technology, security, quality, operations, and supply chain in a matrixed environment
- Experience driving adoption of standardized processes in large organizations
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Travel required up to 35%
- Preferred: advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Preferred: Program Management experience and/or certification
- Preferred: defense and commercial industry experience
- Preferred: experience with quality improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma) or CORE Operating Framework
- Preferred: experience with security processes and regulatory requirements
- Preferred: experience with process optimization, operational methodologies, and policy and standards documentation
- Preferred: experience scaling initiatives and leading collaboration across complex organizations
