About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and support engineering license servers across Windows Server and Linux environments
- Support application teams with operational, administrative, and technical expertise for engineering license managers
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance license managers
- Monitor usage, address outages, optimize configurations, and validate entitlement alignment
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and platform teams during sustainment activities and major version upgrades
- Assess impacts of changes to license managers and ensure licensing services remain supported, accessible, and integrated
- Support creation, maintenance, and evaluation of Disaster Recovery plans for license services
- Support monitoring, alerting, and reporting for license availability, denials, peak usage, and server health
- Develop automated workflows using Power BI, PowerApps, and PowerShell
- Build Power BI dashboards and data models using license logs, license managers, and Splunk reports
- Create and maintain admin procedures, dashboards, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
- Partner with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and DT service owners to align licensing operations with enterprise policies, audits, and roadmap requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration experience, including log handling, permissions, and basic troubleshooting
- Experience with one or more engineering license managers: FlexLM, Reprise/RLM, CodeMeter, SentinelRMS, SentinelHASP, and vendor-specific technologies
- Experience automating workflows using PowerApps, PowerShell, or similar technologies
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Active and existing DoD Secret clearance required after day 1
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other languages used in analytics or automation
- Experience supporting large/complex environments, including distributed license servers, multi-site usage, and cross-platform deployments
- Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard construction for technical metrics
- Strong analytical skills with big-data log sets, including parsing, structuring, and extracting trend-ready metrics
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Experience working in controlled or restricted environments, including troubleshooting inside classified labs
- Exposure to license usage analytics, concurrency metrics, and entitlement validation
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) supporting hybrid deployments
- Familiarity with Splunk or other log-analysis platforms
- Experience working in the Aerospace & Defense industry
