About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform as a key member of the Naval Power Integrated Supply Chain organization
- Support, and in some cases lead, Supply Chain Execution, Customer Proposal, and Program Start-up efforts for the Ship Systems Integration & Sustainment (SSIS) portfolio
- Serve as liaison between program office, engineering, operations, quality, contracts, and finance organizations
- Develop, coordinate, and execute material strategies enabling SSI programs to meet supply chain, portfolio, and business objectives
- Participate in program, IPTL, and supplier meetings as a core SCM member
- Develop and execute material program plans (MPP) and subcontract management plans
- Own the supplier management process, including supplier performance, Supply Chain metrics, Make/Buy Where strategy, and strategic agreements
- Own supplier and finance management processes, including Risk/Opportunity, Line of Balance, metrics, and material sales forecasts
- Liaise between the Program Executive, Program Managers, IPTs, and Supply Chain organization
- Oversee SCM activities required to meet program requirements and link Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control functions
- Address urgent supply chain tasking, including Purchase Requisitions integrity, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statements of Work, and Purchase Order follow-up
- Represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives
- Implement continuous improvement through CORE, Six Sigma, or related Lean methodologies/principles
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- 3 years experience in a supply chain role or related role such as Production Control, Operations, Finance or Supplier Engineering
- Experience working in a cross functional matrixed Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
- MPM level 4 certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SOW) preferred
- Experience with Supplier Statements of Work (SOW) preferred
- Expertise with Supply Chain / Production Control / Procurement processes, Special Access Programs / MRP systems, and requirements management preferred
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) preferred
- Eligibility to obtain a security clearance
- Up to 25% travel required; domestic travel not to exceed 20%
