About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the supplier management process by developing and executing strategies to mitigate risk, drive supplier performance, and optimize material flow across the program lifecycle
- Act as liaison between customers, program management, and suppliers
- Ensure material contract objectives for technical performance, cost, and schedule are met
- Manage supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset requirements, public law, quality standards, and warranty obligations
- Evaluate and refine MakeBuy/Make Where strategy
- Develop comprehensive material program strategies
- Oversee financial management of material requirements
- Partner with Program Manager and cross-functional leaders to execute AOP, OTD delivery, and material coverage
- Develop, coordinate, and execute program material strategies, plans, and supplier risk mitigation activities
- Establish and drive material sales forecasting for assigned programs and product lines
- Drive FEOTB activities related to MRP planning, load, material releases, initial and quarterly EAC reporting
- Establish material coverage to meet MRP needs and sustainment execution efforts
- Establish manufacturing planning with Program Operations Managers and the program
- Collaborate with cross-functional leads to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Engage Engineering, Mission Assurance, and Supply Chain organizations to drive supplier performance, execution, and product yield
- Prepare and present information for weekly and monthly management reviews
- Support proposals through BOE generation, material pricing inputs, and RFQ planning and execution
- Work with Procurement to manage CAPA closure for TINA requirements
- Document execution insights, capture lessons learned, and contribute to process improvements
- Solve material planning and procurement issues
- Lead cross-functional teams and stakeholder meetings, facilitate decision-making, align priorities, and drive execution without direct reporting authority
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience in a supply chain role, or an advanced degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience in a supply chain role
- Prior experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience with SAP/PRISM and the Supply Chain suite of tools preferred
- Experience with government regulations including FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and TINA preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes across the product life cycle preferred
- Certified Material Program Manager, program management certification, or equivalent preferred
- Experience in supplier management preferred
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Active and existing DoD Top Secret security clearance required after day 1
