About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support cross-functional hardware and software engineering teams to ensure system compatibility and performance
Build and maintain virtual machines in a lab environment
Build and maintain Linux scripts in a lab environment
Analyze network switch interfaces and debug data and communications issues
Travel to customer sites and deploy software and hardware solutions, often on short notice
Interface between field and lab teams during travel events
Support secure communications, missionized systems, and collaborative space solutions for civilian, military, and government customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive experience with DevOps pipelines operating in both Linux and Windows environments
Extensive experience building virtual machines and debugging network issues
Practical experience with Ansible/YAML
Experience writing and maintaining scripts
Ability to travel up to 30% per year and flexibility to travel on short notice
Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree
Active and transferable U.S. Government (DoD) Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an active U.S. Government (DoD) Top Secret Clearance
U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred: Experience with Survivable Mobile Command Center architectures and operations
Preferred: Experience working on fielded systems
Preferred: Experience supporting software and hardware development
Preferred: Experience with Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3)
Preferred: Experience with computer networking for ground-based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms
Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI caveat
