About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership and project management to a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT)
- Own parts throughout the design, validation, production, and field-sustainment lifecycle
- Lead IPT activities across design, structural analysis, durability, aerodynamics, materials, and manufacturing engineering
- Drive technical execution and program performance, including risk management, issue resolution, and review readiness
- Plan and manage budgets, schedules, and technical metrics with the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT)
- Serve as part-level owner for communication, risk closure, and alignment with program requirements
- Communicate status, risks, and needs to engineering and program management
- Coordinate Class I and Class II engineering changes
- Oversee supplier and manufacturing reviews, engine build-test-teardown events, ACIs, FMRs, MERLIN field inquiries, and deviation requests
- Support field investigations and production-delivery troubleshooting
- Design, develop, and support mechanical systems, externals, and nacelles for commercial and military engine models
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 8 years of engineering experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with an advanced degree and 5 years of engineering experience
- 5 years of project management experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- English proficiency (read, write, speak) required for communication with English-only customers, co-workers, or supervisors
- Up to 10% domestic travel
- Preferred: prior Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Preferred: familiarity with bid and proposal cost estimating for military programs
- Preferred: experience with AGILE methodologies
- Preferred: knowledge of CORE, Lean Six Sigma, and QCPC processes
- Preferred: active secret clearance
