About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as Proposal Lead for Power and Controls pursuits
  • Manage proposal priorities, queue, deliverables, and submission compliance
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Programs, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
  • Lead weekly Integrated Product Team project meetings
  • Record and communicate delays, scope changes, incidents, and escalations
  • Support customer and change board documentation and coordination
  • Oversee administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects
  • Meet program schedules and budgets and maintain integrated master schedules
  • Track pursuits and manage pursuit updates in Salesforce
  • Review customer requirements and prepare validation and gate materials
  • Schedule and manage IPMT meetings
  • Ensure pursuit decks are completed according to schedule
  • Coordinate proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, specifications, operating budgets, and contract financial terms and conditions
  • Monitor project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals
  • Coordinate project plans, budgets, staffing requirements, action-item lists, and quality expectations
  • Support Power and Controls standardization, best practices, tool development, process improvements, and ECS sustainment and NPI initiatives
  • Serve as ECS subject matter expert and point of contact for ECS pursuits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English, verbal and written
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Must reside in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
  • Relocation is not offered
  • Project/Program Management experience, preferably in aerospace and defense
  • Working knowledge of Siemens PLM tools, including Teamcenter and NX
  • Experience with schedules, financials, engineering estimations, and managing medium to large projects
  • Print reading and working knowledge of industry standards including ASME/ANSY 14
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, align members with project goals, drive progress toward milestones, and mentor and guide engineers
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience creating technical documents, reports, and proposals
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
  • PMP Certification or Agile certifications preferred
