About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead new pursuits and proposals
  • Lead contract execution efforts for a critical Naval Power, Naval Air Missiles program
  • Support strategic solutions and provide recommendations for proposal, negotiation, and execution issues
  • Drive on-time proposal delivery and current contract execution
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Work with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to manage successful contract execution
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues
  • Ensure negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
  • Provide guidance on contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and contractual and programmatic risk mitigation
  • Establish and maintain effective customer and internal partner relationships
  • Interface with customers regarding correspondence, contractual changes, and contractual issues
  • Manage contracts and engage directly with program leadership
  • Support development and production contracts for domestic, FMS, and subcontractor requirements
  • Participate in business management reviews, including quarterly EAC reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Experience related to contracts management, program management, business management, finance and/or supply chain processes and procurement
  • Experience with contracts, terms and conditions, RFPs, RFQs, FAR, DFARS or similar contracts experience
  • Experience with contracts negotiations, execution and administration of various contract aspects
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements
  • Experience applying analysis and critical thinking for complex problem solving
  • Understanding of financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
  • Experience with Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements
  • Advanced degrees related, such as MBA, JD, Law Degree, or Master of Science in Finance, preferred
