About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support successful capture of international pursuits and execution of contracts, program, and supply chain requirements
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and non-U.S. export/import regulations in global business transactions
- Work with the LADS Global Trade Team and stakeholders to develop strategies for international programs and business development capture efforts
- Prepare and submit export authorizations, including TAAs, MLAs, and other approval requests, to the U.S. Department of State DDTC and U.S. Department of Commerce BIS
- Interpret ITAR and EAR regulations for Raytheon employees
- Provide export authorization status updates to programs and requestors
- Facilitate approvals for physical exports of hardware and other transactions
- Determine and certify appropriate legal authority for exports of commodities, technology, defense articles, hardware, technical data, and defense services
- Participate in compliance audits and investigations
- Develop and deliver training for employees involved in international business activities
- Represent Global Trade in internal and external stakeholder meetings
- Assist with implementing company procedures and instructions supporting export/import compliance
- Travel domestically approximately once per quarter
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
- Experience researching and/or applying the ITAR / EAR regulations
- Experience applying for, managing, and transacting against ITAR and EAR export authorizations
- Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, SAP-GT, OCR EASE IT or similar Global Trade tools and/or systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
- Willingness to undertake minimal domestic travel, approximately once per quarter
