About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interface directly with JAEC (Japanese Aero Engines Corporation) to support the GTF program and Legacy programs
  • Own a dynamic part portfolio mainly sourced from partners in Japan
  • Interface with the CE Program Office, PPO, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial, Quality, and other organizations
  • Work with the Supply Chain Manager, Value Stream Manager, and their teams to identify supply-chain improvement opportunities
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities, supplier on-time delivery management, leading-indicator metrics, and capacity ramp plans
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Quality, Materials, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Strategic Sourcing, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, and assigned suppliers
  • Conduct standard product purchasing activities, including order placement, demand and scheduling coordination, supplier relationship management, delivery assurance, and turn-back monitoring and reporting
  • Execute tactical plans and product transitions
  • Build collaborative working relationships with partners and suppliers to resolve supply-chain problems
  • Drive achievements, delivery plans, and customer-committed actions to completion
  • Track critical parts and identify shortages by engine module to ensure production schedules are met
  • Ensure compliance with the Pratt & Whitney Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Transition Standard Work (TSW)
  • Work frequently during off-hours to support international partnered suppliers in Japan

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in operations, supply chain, or related field and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support partners in Japan
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs functionality
  • Experience in materials or supply chain within the aerospace industry
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work in a global supply chain
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Experience as a day-to-day user of SAP, entering transactions and running reports
  • Strong customer focus experience with a focus on business results
  • Ability to work as a self-starter with flexible roles and responsibilities
  • No security clearance required
