About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support cross-functional hardware and software engineering teams to ensure system compatibility and performance
  • Build and maintain virtual machines in a lab environment
  • Build and maintain Linux scripts in a lab environment
  • Analyze network switch interfaces
  • Debug data and communications issues
  • Travel to customer sites to deploy software and hardware solutions, often on short notice
  • Act as the interface between field and lab teams during travel events
  • Support civilian, military, and government customers through the Mission Systems team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience with DevOps pipelines operating in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Extensive experience building virtual machines and debugging network issues
  • Practical experience with Ansible/YAML
  • Experience writing and maintaining scripts
  • Ability to travel up to 30% per year and travel on short notice
  • STEM degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree
  • Active and transferable U.S. Government (DoD) Secret Clearance required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain an active U.S. Government (DoD) Top Secret Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Preferred: experience with Survivable Mobile Command Center architectures and operations
  • Preferred: experience working on fielded systems
  • Preferred: experience supporting software and hardware development
  • Preferred: experience with Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3)
  • Preferred: computer networking experience for ground-based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms
  • Preferred: active Top Secret clearance with SCI caveat
