About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support system design integration and requirement management activities
- Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences, and/or training
- Make minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve work-area effectiveness
- Support project management activities
- Support other duties/functions within the company as required by business needs
- Validate and certify products, engineering processes, and services to meet regulatory, engineering, and customer requirements and safeguard employees, customers, and the flying public
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Computer or Software Engineering
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
- Successfully demonstrated analytical and mathematical modeling skills
- Ability to work at an implementation level
- Preferred: passion for learning about and pursuing a career in aviation and aerospace
- Preferred: creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Preferred: eagerness to learn, contribute a fresh perspective, and share knowledge
- Preferred: basic understanding of gas turbine engines
- Preferred: knowledge in Python or other coding languages
