About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate procurement, assembly, test, and shipment of Advanced RF/EW systems
- Serve as focal point for daily execution activities to deliver engineered development hardware on schedule
- Lead the Manufacturing team and coordinate with other manufacturing organizations within Raytheon
- Lead manufacturing advance planning for paperwork, tooling, processes, and personnel
- Direct and coordinate sequencing of work, including build and delivery activities
- Manage budgets and perform cost account management for labor and material
- Coordinate manufacturing and test failure investigations and drive corrective actions
- Resolve assembly, test, and procurement challenges, including manufacturing resource constraints
- Manage and guide manufacturing and production personnel in a matrixed organization
- Support proposals for new business and updates to existing programs
- Communicate with internal and external customers through routine tag-ups and program reviews
- Lead cross-functional teams, remove barriers, and drive issues to resolution
- Influence outcomes, build alignment, and maintain working relationships across Engineering, Operations, and Program Management
- Coach and mentor team members and promote continuous improvement
- Travel up to 10%
Requirements
What you’ll need- University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Experience in operations, manufacturing, program management, or project engineering
- Experience managing budgets and/or performing cost account management activities
- Experience coordinating cross-functional activities in a production or engineering environment
- Experience using ERP or production planning systems
- Special Program Access preferred
- Experience leading project engineering or manufacturing teams, including in a matrixed organization
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Experience presenting to senior leaders and customers during reviews
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
- Ability to obtain Top Secret or higher clearance level or program access after start date
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Up to 10% travel
