About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Mature Military Engines during the production phase
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team enabling customer deliveries
- Develop understanding of the aerospace and defense industry, RTX operations, and departmental contributions
- Contribute fresh ideas and participate as a productive member of the department
- Support quality notifications, escapes, work stops, producibility, and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines
- Support engine deliveries, first-piece reviews, first-article inspections, analysis automation, process certification, and the Manufacturing Readiness Level initiative
- Collaborate within technical disciplines including Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
- Relocation is not offered
- U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative
- Passion for learning about and pursuing a career in aviation and aerospace
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Eagerness to learn, contribute a fresh perspective, and share knowledge
