About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform low to medium complexity analytical simulations and performance and operability studies
  • Perform low to medium complexity steady state and transient performance comparison packages
  • Support customer requirements and validate results for onsite engine testing
  • Reduce steady state and transient data
  • Create engine trending packages to monitor engine health
  • Revise test procedures and instrumentations
  • Support model change requests to validate expected results
  • Support system and design integration activities
  • Attend group meetings, teleconferences, and required training
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using CORE tools and support AS9100 efforts
  • Obtain ACE Associate certification
  • Support project management activities
  • Perform other duties/functions as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Knowledge in Thermodynamics and Fluids Mechanics
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
  • Understanding of gas turbine jet engines preferred
  • Experience in C++, Python, MATLAB or VBA programming preferred
  • Knowledge in Data Analytics or Machine Learning preferred
  • Travel is up to 10%
