About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Air Transport, Business, Regional and Military aircraft products and programs
- Complete reliability assessments, including reliability predictions to establish MTBF estimates and component failure rates
- Execute derating analysis, FMEAs, HIRF and lightning analysis, testability analysis, and maintainability assessments
- Perform Accelerated Stress Testing and develop Environmental Stress Screening profiles
- Develop test procedures and reports for HALT/HASS testing
- Oversee and conduct testing
- Conduct failure review board meetings
- Define corrective actions
- Perform Neutron Single Event Upset susceptibility analysis
- Learn about RTX’s engineering team, technologies, work, and aerospace industry operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and actively enrolled through completion of the internship/co-op session
- Minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship/co-op session
- U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
- Relocation is not offered
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience preferred
- Experience in reliability engineering preferred
- Experience navigating competing priorities and delivering successful outcomes in critical situations preferred
- Knowledge/Experience in Agile methodologies preferred
