About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and manufacture compound semiconductor devices, MMICs, phased array hardware, and high-performance modules for defense applications
  • Support radar and sensing programs including Global Patriot Solutions and Early Warning Systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across integration and hardware verification
  • Perform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements, characterization, and assembly of RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave test setups
  • Design, simulate, and analyze RF/microwave components, MMICs, and phased array module hardware
  • Execute component-level and system-level integration and testing for digital, analog, and RF assemblies
  • Use automated test instrumentation and Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW to control measurement systems, capture data, and evaluate results
  • Characterize devices using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, RSAs, and PNAs
  • Conduct circuit simulations, obsolescence trade assessments, hardware troubleshooting, and failure investigations
  • Partner with systems, quality assurance, reliability, and manufacturing personnel to develop test solutions and optimize production workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related STEM discipline; degree must be obtained by start date
  • Coursework in RF Circuit Design, Microwave Circuits, Electromagnetics, Antenna Engineering, Microwave Measurements, RF Engineering, Radar Signal Processing, or Radar Design
  • Experience in at least one technical domain: RF/Microwave Design & Measurement; Antennas & Applied Electromagnetics; or Radar Architecture & Signal Processing
  • Experience building, testing, or characterizing electronic hardware, RF circuits, or antenna systems using standard test benches or measurement facilities
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain interim U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • DoD Secret clearance
  • Preferred: hands-on RF/microwave characterization using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and automated test environments
  • Preferred: proficiency with Keysight ADS, ANSYS HFSS, CST Studio Suite, Microwave Office, Cadence Virtuoso, or MATLAB
  • Preferred: laboratory automation using Python, C++, or LabVIEW
  • Preferred: leadership experience through student organizations, research projects, or engineering team initiatives
  • Preferred: collaborative, interpersonal, and technical communication skills in multidisciplinary engineering settings
