About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write and process engineering changes, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with established procedures
  • Analyze the Nature, Reason, and Substantiation of minor engineering changes and guide requestors
  • Review minor engineering changes for compliance with procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure adherence to naming conventions and nomenclature standards for parts, documents, and configuration baselines
  • Collaborate with Design Integration teams, IPTs, and CIPTs to support Configuration Control Board activities and the engineering change process
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce nomenclature guidelines; provide training and guidance to stakeholders
  • Participate in department initiatives using the CORE operating system framework and contribute process-improvement ideas
  • Use configuration management tools to maintain accurate records, reports, and baselines throughout the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to audits, reviews, and compliance checks
  • Support integration of components, modules, and subsystems into commercial and military propulsion systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or Business Administration
  • 2 years of experience in configuration management or engineering, or an Advanced degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • English (read, write, speak) required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
  • Hands-on experience with CM procedures and the engineering change process preferred
  • Experience with Teamcenter, SAP, and Product Definition tools preferred
  • Familiarity with the CORE operating system framework or similar continuous improvement methodologies preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously preferred
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams preferred
  • Travel up to 10%
