About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interface directly with JAEC and contribute to the success of the GTF and Legacy programs
Own a dynamic part portfolio mainly sourced from partners in Japan
Work with Supply Chain and Value Stream Managers to identify supply chain improvements
Lead end-to-end procurement activities, supplier management of on-time delivery, leading indicator metrics, and capacity ramp plans
Coordinate cross-functionally with Quality, Materials, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Strategic Sourcing, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, and suppliers
Conduct standard product purchasing activities, including order placement, demand and scheduling coordination, supplier relationship management, delivery assurance, and turn-back monitoring and reporting
Develop collaborative working relationships with partners and suppliers to resolve supply-chain problems
Drive achievements, delivery plans, and customer-committed actions to completion
Track critical parts and identify shortages by engine module to ensure production schedules are met
Ensure compliance with the Pratt & Whitney Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Transition Standard Work
Manage tactical plans, engineering changes, and product transitions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in operations, supply chain, or related field
Minimum 2 years prior relevant experience
Ability to work flexible hours to support partners in Japan
U.S. Person status required
Access to ITAR or 600/500-series EAR information or hardware is required
Advanced Degree in related field preferred
Experience in materials or supply chain within the aerospace industry preferred
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs functionality
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work in a global supply chain
Strong communication and project management skills
Experience as a day-to-day user of SAP, entering transactions and running reports
Strong customer focus with a focus on business results
Ability to work as a self-starter with flexible roles and responsibilities
