About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and coordinate Collins Mission Systems Army Networking and Communications business development
  • Establish and maintain contact networks across US Army requirements, capabilities, development, acquisition, and sustainment organizations
  • Identify customer requirements, program initiatives, cross-portfolio efficiencies, dependencies, and opportunities
  • Advise and coordinate development and implementation of BMC2N customer solutions
  • Coordinate across Mission Systems to advance collaboration and maximize opportunities and customer satisfaction
  • Shape requirements, acquisition strategy, and decision-making processes
  • Interpret and communicate US Army policies, initiatives, requirements, and opportunities to BMC2N leaders
  • Support businesses in pursuing lateral opportunities and current critical programs
  • Correlate US Army communications strategies with business-unit pursuit leads
  • Support RTX Lifecycle Program Management activities, including gate reviews, color teams, competitive/market assessments, marketing plans, proposal teams, and strategic planning
  • Support trade shows and professional conferences
  • Gather complex requirements and translate them into sophisticated technical solutions and a cohesive US Army communications strategy
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver and integrate solutions and provide expert troubleshooting support
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposed solutions
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to improve solution offerings and drive innovation
  • Foster continuous learning, best practices, and innovative thinking
  • Travel 30–40%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • 10 years of prior relevant experience working with US Army customers
  • Working knowledge of US Army Networking and Communications doctrine, strategies, programs, platforms, missions, and systems
  • Recent experience working with the US Army
  • Experience or knowledge of DoD processes for requirements development/approval, capability solutions, budgeting, and acquisition
  • Experience with classified information handling protocols and regulations
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret Security Clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • 5+ years of experience in US Army networking and communications operations, communications acquisition, test & evaluation; C5ISR or Transformation, Training Command (T2COM) is highly desired
  • Previous experience as a Senior Signal Officer, Senior Signal Warrant Officer, or Senior Signal Advisor
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Army Contracting Command (ACC) procedures and business rules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to brief large audiences and senior officials with confidence and poise
  • Strategic/critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, debate, challenging customer thinking, and fact-based analysis skills
  • Ability to travel 30–40%
