About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate Collins Mission Systems Army Networking and Communications business development
- Establish and maintain contact networks across US Army requirements, capabilities, development, acquisition, and sustainment organizations
- Identify customer requirements, program initiatives, cross-portfolio efficiencies, dependencies, and opportunities
- Advise and coordinate development and implementation of customer solutions for MODI BMC2N
- Coordinate across Mission Systems to advance collaboration and strategies across US Army communication customer organizations
- Shape requirements, acquisition strategy, and decision-making processes
- Interpret and communicate US Army policies, initiatives, requirements, and opportunities to BMC2N leaders
- Lead and support lateral business opportunities and critical current programs
- Correlate US Army communications strategies with business-unit pursuit leads
- Support lifecycle program management activities, gate reviews, color teams, market assessments, marketing plans, proposal teams, and strategic planning
- Support trade shows and professional conferences
- Gather complex requirements and translate them into technical solutions and a cohesive US Army communications strategy
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure delivery and integration of solutions
- Provide expert troubleshooting support
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposed solutions
- Track emerging technologies and industry trends to improve offerings and drive innovation
- Foster continuous learning and development
- Travel 30–40%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
- 10 years of prior relevant experience working with US Army customers
- Working knowledge of US Army Networking and Communications doctrine, strategies and programs, platforms, missions, and systems, including battlefield employment
- Recent experience working with the US Army; ideal qualifications equivalent to Chief Warrant Officer 04/05, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, or GS-15
- Experience or knowledge of DoD processes for requirements development and approval, capability solutions, budgeting, and acquisition
- Experience with classified information handling protocols and regulations
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required
- 5+ years of experience in US Army networking and communications operations, communications acquisition, test and evaluation, C5ISR, or T2COM highly desired
- Previous experience as a Senior Signal Officer, Senior Signal Warrant Officer, or Senior Signal Advisor preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Strategic and critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, debate, challenging customer thinking, and fact-based analysis of alternatives
- Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales and Army Contracting Command procedures and business rules
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to brief large audiences and senior officials with confidence and poise
