About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications supporting GSS Security
Develop new features using ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL Server
Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for large enterprise datasets
Troubleshoot complex issues across application code, SQL Server, and production environments
Automate manual compliance processes through software solutions
Collaborate with system stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and continuous improvement activities
Maintain and modernize existing applications while developing new capabilities
Document technical designs, database changes, and application functionality
Work across the full application stack, including databases, backend services, web applications, and production troubleshooting
Work within an agile team and DevOps framework
Partner with GSS Center of Excellence personnel and Digital Technology partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
5 years of direct experience in Software Engineering
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
Current Secret security clearance required on day 1
U.S. citizenship required
Must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories
Experience designing SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, indexes, and query optimization
Experience with DevSecOps, including Azure DevOps, Git, Pull Requests, CI/CD, and work item management
Experience with C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or ASP.NET MVC
Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Stored Procedures, REST APIs, JSON, jQuery, Bootstrap, DataTables, IIS, Azure DevOps, and Git
Experience in Agile development methods, Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration preferred
Experience developing applications supporting cybersecurity, compliance, governance, or enterprise operations preferred
Understanding of layered, event-tier, microkernel, and other software development architectural frameworks preferred
Experience implementing compliance regulations such as DFARS, DAAPM, JASIG, ICD, FAA, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, and/or other government requirements preferred
