About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, maintain, and support business applications by analyzing business processes and applying process improvement concepts
- Manage external vendors and align services, service levels, technology, vendor management, and initiatives with business strategies
- Act as a business contact and advocate for high-quality services
- Work with Security/Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management groups to manage and document the portfolio
- Install, configure, and test new applications and legacy systems
- Maintain data warehousing
- Support Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain COTS software in mixed Microsoft Windows and Linux environments
- Review and vet software for cybersecurity and legal-policy compliance
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams for audits
- Manage software purchases, licensing, renewals, vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements
- Protect confidential Raytheon information
- Document deployed software and environments
- Monitor software performance and usage and identify optimization and cost-saving opportunities
- Execute software implementations and upgrades with minimal operational disruption
- Ensure systems remain operational 24x7
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or 6 years of direct work experience in lieu of degree
- Experience in Linux and Windows server management
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Experience supporting Engineering, Operations, and/or Supply Chain organizations, especially in the Aerospace and Defense industry
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
- Knowledge of COTS software deployment and integration
- Advanced understanding of network security and data protection
- Ability to work beyond standard hours occasionally for 24x7 operations
