About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain Pratt & Whitney’s Development Network Application (DNA), a cloud-enabled full-stack web platform
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native architectures
- Develop frontend and backend web applications for dashboards, workflow automation, and multidisciplinary integrations
- Implement enterprise data integrations
- Deploy and support applications in cloud environments
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver program features
- Expand platform capabilities through browser-based and mobile-friendly interfaces
- Maintain software quality, performance, and continuous delivery
- Create intuitive visualizations from complex information
- Shape backend service patterns for growth, reliability, and clarity
- Refine features with stakeholders to improve usability, clarity, and workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree with 3 years of engineering experience
- Experience in full-stack development using modern web technologies for frontend and backend applications
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
- Up to 10% travel
- Preferred: experience building dashboards or data-driven workflow tools
- Preferred: familiarity with cloud-native frameworks such as Quarkus
- Preferred: experience developing mobile-friendly or multi-platform interfaces
- Preferred: experience supporting integrations across test, assembly, or validation phases
- Preferred: experience enabling process automation in complex engineering environments
- Preferred: experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments
