About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership and project management to a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT)
- Own parts throughout the entire lifecycle, including design, validation, production, and field sustainment
- Guide technical execution, manage program commitments, and ensure Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) goals are met
- Support IPT activities across design, structural analysis, durability, aero, materials, and manufacturing engineering
- Drive technical execution and program performance, including risk management, issue resolution, and key review readiness
- Plan and manage budgets, schedules, and technical metrics with the CIPT
- Ensure communication, risk closure, and alignment with program requirements
- Coordinate engineering design updates and Class I and Class II Engineering Changes
- Oversee supplier and manufacturing reviews, engine build-test-teardown events, ACIs, FMRs, MERLIN field inquiries, and deviation requests
- Support field investigations and production delivery troubleshooting
- Design, develop, and support mechanical systems, externals, and nacelles for commercial and military engine models
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5 years of engineering experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with an Advanced degree and 3 years of engineering experience
- 3 years of project engineering experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- English (read, write, speak) required for communication with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
- Travel up to 10% domestically
- Preferred: prior experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
- Preferred: familiarity with bid and proposal cost estimating for military programs
- Preferred: experience with AGILE methodologies
- Preferred: knowledge of CORE, Lean Six Sigma, and QCPC processes
