About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, develop, and integrate cyber-compliant standardized system solutions
  • Create resilient architecture designs and IT infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business requirements and long-term plans
  • Serve as a senior technical leader and architectural advisor to internal customers
  • Architect resilient, redundant, and highly available infrastructure solutions for classified environments across compute, storage, virtualization, data retention, and archival layers
  • Architect hybrid classified cloud integrations supporting increased manufacturing velocity
  • Facilitate cloud adoption through best practices, reference architectures, education, and migration support
  • Architect cross-domain solutions for automated low-to-high data and event flows
  • Coordinate with system administration, network, cybersecurity, and application teams
  • Produce architectural diagrams and system design documents for classified systems
  • Develop cloud migration and integration strategies for legacy systems, proprietary applications, and enterprise capabilities
  • Support capacity and scalability planning for classified compute infrastructure
  • Coordinate with proposal and technical review teams on technical solutions
  • Provide periodic direct on-site support at the nearest Raytheon location, with remote work as an option

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Experience developing systems designs, including architecture and deployment
  • Experience with server operating systems, server hardware, storage, networks, virtualization, cloud integrations, encryption, security, archival systems, and clients
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date
  • Must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%
  • Preferred: extensive experience with Microsoft Windows, Red Hat, Ansible, VMware, containerization, cloud-native architectures, and NetApp storage devices
  • Preferred: TOGAF, Security+, and CISSP certifications
  • Preferred: demonstrated cloud integration experience
  • Preferred: experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, ICD 503, and RMF government security controls
