About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and decompose system-level requirements into subsystem requirements for flight display products
- Support system and subsystem architecture definition, interface control development, and technical trades across Boeing Platforms product lines
- Collaborate with hardware, software, FPGA, systems integration, safety, and project engineering teams
- Integrate display system hardware, software, and subsystem elements in system laboratories
- Support verification planning, test development, and execution to meet ARP4754 objectives and Collins engineering standards
- Participate in design reviews, risk and issue discussions, and IPT technical coordination
- Prepare and communicate technical documentation and engineering artifacts
- Drive continuous improvement in systems engineering practices aligned to Collins CORE and Boeing Platforms development processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- 5 years of experience developing systems or subsystem components, including hardware, software, requirements, integration, and verification
- 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience with FAA/EASA certification processes and standards such as ARP4754A, DO254, DO-160, DO180, or similar
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Experience with Collins flight displays or Boeing Platforms architectures preferred
- Background in system integration labs, hardware–software interface definition, or aircraft connectivity systems preferred
- Experience with DOORS or Jama preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to lead system-level tasks or navigate complex technical issues preferred
- Ability to collaborate across functional teams in a fast-paced, highly regulated domain preferred
- Experience with RLPM or Collins Development Processes preferred
- Willingness to travel 5–10% as needed
